I scored these based on Damage (35%) + Speed (25%) + Sha-Chi Efficiency (25%) + Versatility (15%) and tbh the weighting matters a lot cause some weapons have insane damage but terrible Sha-Chi costs and you basically never get to use your Power Surge with them and at that point the DPS doesn't even matter cause you're just waiting for bars that never fill up, a specialized weapon might rank way higher in its niche than the raw numbers suggest and that's something you only figure out after dying to the same boss 20 times with different setups trust me I've been there

How I Actually Score These Weapons
So each weapon gets an overall score based on a weighted formula I put together after way too many hours of testing and honestly it's not perfect but it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect, Damage (35%) covers raw DPS output including special effects like bleed and fire procs and I've found that damage numbers can be misleading cause some weapons do great burst but awful sustained DPS and the other big one is Speed (25%) which is attack animation speed plus recovery frames and combo fluidity and tbh speed matters way more than people think cause a slow weapon with high damage is actually harder to use than a fast weapon with lower damage since you get punished way more for whiffing, then there's Sha-Chi Efficiency (25%) where lower bars equals more frequent power surge windows and honestly this stat alone can make or break a weapon because if you can't use your Power Surge often enough your overall DPS just tanks no matter how good the base numbers look, and finally Versatility (15%) which is basically how well the weapon performs across different bosses and mob types and builds and you'd be surprised how many weapons just fall apart against certain boss types and stuff like that
This methodology mirrors what the community has been voting on and I've cross-referenced it with actual gameplay testing data and I'll update rankings whenever new patch data comes out so if something gets buffed or nerfed you'll see it here first, well probably not first but you get the idea
